Job Description

Summary:

We are looking for Sr Technology Product Support with 2-5 yesrs of experience and who can Support Client POS application and work closely with stores and other departments (IT support, marketing, Buying & Merchandising, finance, B2B, etc.) to meet the company’s overall strategy and goals.



Job Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshooting and supporting store systems applications during UAT and production.
  • Assessing store systems applications issues.
  • Recommend new or enhanced technologies that could improve current systems.
  • React to high-severity issues that require immediate attention.
  • Work with multiple teams for successful resolution of issues and incidents.
  • Maintaining and updating technical documents and procedures
  • Executing daily/on-demand operations and administration.
    • Checking DB app errors and application error logs.
    • Execution of DB scripts/extracts as needed.

Technical skills:

 

  • J2EE Technologies
  • Web Technologies:

Have a good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, AJAX, JSON, jQuery, XML, and RESTful web service. 

  • Databases:

Experience in SQL (preferably Oracle PL/SQL).

  • Operating Systems:   

Windows, Basic knowledge of Linux.

  • Conceptual Knowledge:

Software Design Principals, Modeling and Designing with UML, MVC Design patterns, and Microservices Design patterns.

  • Application servers:   

Oracle WebLogic.

  • Understanding of Infrastructure environments – Cloud

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  1. BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
  2. Previous experience in a leadership role, preferably in the Retail sector.
  3. Self-motivated professional to work with minimal direction with effective time management skills.
  4. Open to flexible working conditions, including after-hours scheduled application maintenance and support.
  5. Excellent understanding of SQL.
  6. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  7. Ability to diagnose & address application issues.
  8. Ability to build constructive relationships with clients.

Education/Experience:

B.Sc. from the Faculty of Computer and Information Science or Faculty of Engineering.
